Railings That Hold, Without Blocking the View

Fall protection is the job. Everything else — the clean line, the uninterrupted view — comes from getting the engineering right first.

Balcony Railings

Spigot-mounted laminated glass fixed to the slab. The most common request, and the one that changes a balcony most.

Terrace & Parapet Railings

Fully exposed to wind and weather, so glass thickness and fixing are specified for the floor height.

Side-Fixed / Standoff

Fixed to the face of the slab rather than the top, which gives back the floor width on a narrow balcony.

Base Channel Railings

Glass set into a continuous U-channel for an unbroken line with no visible fixings along the base.

Specification at a glance

The Specification Is the Safety Argument

GlassLaminated toughened — 13.52mm (two 6mm panes with a 1.52mm PVB interlayer) typical; heavier where height and exposure require it
Why laminatedIf a pane is broken the PVB interlayer holds the fragments together, so the barrier stays in place. This is why railings are not specified in plain toughened glass
SpigotsSS316 marine grade outdoors; SS304 acceptable for interior staircases
FixingTop-mounted to the slab, side-fixed to the fascia, or set into a base channel
HandrailOptional stainless, aluminium or timber cap
Wind loadConsidered against floor height and exposure before thickness is fixed
HeightSet against the applicable building norms for the location, confirmed at survey
Edges & holesPolished edges; all holes and cut-outs made before toughening and lamination

Glass cannot be cut or drilled once toughened, and a laminated panel cannot be altered on site at all. Every dimension and fixing point is settled at the free site measurement.

Why us

Why This Work Is Different

Laminated as standard

A railing is a barrier, not a screen. We quote laminated glass because that is what keeps the barrier standing if a pane is ever broken.

Marine-grade fittings

Salt and moisture attack cheaper stainless. SS316 spigots outdoors mean the fixings still look right in five years.

Engineered for the floor

A ninth-floor balcony sees very different wind than a ground-floor terrace, and the specification changes accordingly.

Fixed into the structure

Spigots carry the whole load, so anchors are set into sound concrete and checked — never into tile bedding alone.

What Bengaluru Says About Our Railings

4.9 ★★★★★
Based on 135+ reviews
"We wanted an unobstructed view from our ninth-floor balcony. Laminated glass on SS316 spigots — stunning and rock-solid. They explained the wind-load engineering clearly."
Vikram ShettyIndiranagar · Balcony Glass Railing
"Our staircase is the centrepiece of the house now. The raked glass follows the flight perfectly with a slim steel handrail. Fair price, on time, and they cleaned up spotlessly."
Priya NairKoramangala · Glass Staircase Railing
"They checked the slab before quoting and told us honestly that one section needed making good first. That kind of straight answer is why we went ahead with them."

    Frequently Asked Questions

The questions people ask before booking a railing — and we're happy to talk through anything else on the phone.

Is a glass railing actually safe?
Yes, when it is specified as a barrier rather than a screen. We use laminated toughened glass, so if a pane is ever broken the interlayer holds the fragments together and the barrier stays standing. The spigots and anchors are sized for the same job.
What thickness do you use, and why laminated rather than toughened?
13.52mm laminated is typical — two 6mm toughened panes bonded to a 1.52mm interlayer — and heavier where height and exposure call for it. Plain toughened glass breaks into loose granules, which would leave an open edge. Laminated glass does not.
    Will the spigots rust?
Not if the grade is right. We use SS316 marine-grade spigots outdoors, which resists Bengaluru's monsoon exposure. SS304 is fine for interior staircases and costs less.
Do you have to drill into the slab?
For a top-mounted railing, yes — the spigots carry the load and must anchor into sound concrete. Where drilling the slab is not an option, a side-fixed or base-channel detail is usually the answer, and we will say so at the survey.
Can you do this on a high floor?
Yes, and the floor height is part of the specification rather than an afterthought. Higher and more exposed positions see greater wind load, so glass thickness and fixing centres are set for that position.
How high does the railing have to be?
It depends on the location and its use, and it is set against the applicable building norms. We confirm the required height at the site measurement rather than assuming a standard.
    How do I clean it?
Warm water and a squeegee for the glass, and a soft cloth on the spigots. Bengaluru's hard water leaves deposits on any exterior glass, so an occasional wipe-down keeps it clear.
